Task 10 - TRANSLATOR
- Criteria
Criteria, in this case we are talking precisely about evaluation criteria since they are those related to education, are defined as "indicators that help us to measure the degree of acquisition of objectives, contents and competencies".
- Rubric
Rubrics are useful as a learning tool among students as they allow them to evaluate their work and that of others. Rosa Liarte, national example of education explains that "The rubric must always be given to the students before starting the project or task and must have two elements: a vertical column that includes the evaluation criteria of the project or task. And a horizontal column with the degrees of quality of those criteria, what would be the insufficient, the mediocre and the best of them". In this task both creating and explaining our rubrics has been very valuable.
- Evaluation
In this task evaluating has been really relevant, analyzing and giving a value to the work of others in order to draw conclusions, opinions and feedback (which we will talk about later). There are many ways and styles of evaluation, and also, we must be aware that we all evaluate and weigh everything in our day to day. In education, evaluation is very important, as it will let you know if your students have met the objectives and acquired the competencies governed by the curriculum.
- Feedback
Giving feedback in education is very important in order to know other people opinions of something for you to improve personally. This can help you to have a different perspective of your work. It doesn’t mean that the person who is giving you feedback is cooler or more intelligent than you but he or she can open your eyes and see things of your previous work that you didn’t see, or simply to know other people’s opinion.
- Recommendations
Giving recommendations in order to help and enhance the value of a person's work is very useful and widely used in all aspects of life. Being a teacher gives this term an added value. Recommendations can be very nutritive if they are formulated in a correct way, being nice, as we were with our classmates during the feedback session
